The $42 million in school construction funding awarded to Wilson County was the result of years of planning, facilities discussions, cost analysis, partnership building, and advocacy from local and state leaders.

As a member of the Wilson County Board of Education since 2021 and Chairman since 2024, Blake Boykin has been part of the effort to improve educational facilities for Wilson County students long before the funding was awarded.

Frederick Douglass Elementary is already under construction. Wells-Hearne Elementary has been announced. And Wilson County students will benefit for generations to come.
